We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified CBT Therapist to join our Employee Assistance Program team. You will be based within our Secondary Tier Mental Health Team (STMHT) working from home.

TERC are an expanding EAP with a stepped care approach to service provision. With a wide range of clients including NHS, Blue Light, Public and Provide sector, the range of presentation into the service is varied. With opportunities for further development, Critical Incident Support training, and other training delivery we are looking for a Therapist to grow with our service working alongside other colleagues including EMDR Therapists, Case Managers and the wider EAP Team.

We provide a 24/7 confidential support service to our client’s employees nationwide. They can call our number to speak to a qualified counsellor about issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, debt advice and family issues.

We are looking for experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) . This post would suit those with one of the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s Level Qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy recognised and accredited by the BABCP / or equivalent

You should have experience working within secondary mental health services with a wide range of mental health conditions. You will provide a timely adult mental health assessment and offer effective signposting as required whilst delivering evidence based psychological therapies to those identified as experiencing common mental health problems. In house supervision and CPD is provided. Ideally, we are looking for the successful candidate to start immediately.

Applicants must demonstrate essential requirements from the job description, key elements of this include.

  • Qualification and accreditation as specified above.
  • Holding a minimum provisional accreditation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with the BABCP / or equivalent.
  • Commitment to delivering CBT as the main form of intervention
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development with significant experience of delivering a wide range of therapeutic approaches to mental health problems within secondary mental health services and knowledge of the High Intensity therapy and experience with routine outcome monitoring & ability to meet agreed specified service targets.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Working remotely to complete comprehensive psychological assessments of referred clients using evidence-based methods and best practice
  • To clinically formulate intervention plans including using Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy for clients with a range of problems from mild to severe and complex.
  • To signpost and refer onwards to appropriate pathways of care as and when required.
  • To use CBT to help clients to achieve lifestyle changes by facilitating SMART goal setting and action planning
  • To maintain a clinical caseload, within agreed limits and under supervision of the Secondary Mental Health Services Manager
  • To work at a client level to provide group psychoeducation, raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing, promotion of mental wellbeing guidance via webinar, presentation, workshop events and training as and when required

Hours:

• 5 days each week (between the hours of 8am to 8pm)
• Participation in senior on call rota.

As we offer a 24/7 service, you will be required to work occasional bank holidays on a rota basis.
